Prepare for dream overload as Benjamin Millepied (director of the Paris Opera Ballet and husband of Natalie Portman) creates the ultimate Parisian fantasy for Nowness – a perfect pas de deux running across the city’s rooftops. The project presents dancers Léonore Baulac and Alistair Madin at the Palais Garnier, headquarters of the ballet company since 1875, in a whole new light.

The video marks Millepied’s first season at the helm of the company, where he’s clearly thinking about pushing the boundaries of creativity. “I will bring in visual artists, filmmakers, cartoonists and fashion designers to create the visual language of our new productions. What interests me is making sure that we not only dance the best ballets that exist, but also to move ballet forward with the creation of new works that use classical vocabulary and feel relevant to our times,” he said.
