NEW ORLEANS (press release) – The Marigny Opera Ballet is looking for dancers for its 2022-2023 season (September 2022 – April 2023). The professional contemporary ballet company is looking for dancers with solid ballet (point work is not required) and modern technique as well as high performance quality. The audition will take place on Saturday May 21 at the Opéra de Marigny from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. To register, dancers should send a resume and headshot, along with any questions, to [email protected] by May 18. Dancers should arrive already warmed up and ready to dance.
NOTICE OF AUDITION intensive Nutcracker for children
The Ballet de l’Opéra de Marigny is organizing auditions for the Nutcracker Summer Intensive 2022. The audition will take place on Saturday May 21 at the Opéra de Marigny from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
The Company accepts dancers between the ages of 10 and 16. The Intensive will take place from June 13 to 17 at the Opéra de Marigny from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The audition is free and the total cost for the intensive week in June is $300 per student. The dancers will learn the Nutcracker Jazz choreography from the Ballet de l’Opéra de Marigny. This is their chance to be considered for casting for the December show. Applicants will send the dancer’s name, age, and training experience to [email protected] by May 18.
